Having grown up hunting for unusual rocks and exploring deep ravines in the woods behind her childhood home, Morgan Mercer is a Twin Cities-based oil painter who still has a fascination for finding wonder in unexpected places.

My work explores our finite resources - including the resources of time, attention, and silence. It examines the relationship between human senses and that of our natural physical environment.

Ute Bertog (1970, Germany) is a St. Paul based visual artist, who explores the relationship between language and its many representations. In 1998 she resettled in the US from her native Germany to pursue a career in the arts.

I make paintings that are informed by fragments of urban landscape and culture that are found in the everyday. I am particularly attracted to imagery that is ubiquitous within an urban architectonic setting, in which elements of plasticity and temporality are depicted in a suspended state of in-between ness.
