Maddy Hellevik is an artist living and working in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a concentration in Painting in 2017, along with a minor in Business Administration. For the years following college, Maddy’s work focused on landscape oil painting both in studio and painting plein air (outside, on location). Beginning in 2020, with the decreased opportunity for exposure due to the pandemic, her work took a more conceptual and experimental turn. Her current artwork deals with her experience of matrescence (becoming a mother) in a post pandemic world.
