Amy Crickenberger Oeth received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She has exhibited work throughout Minnesota including at Soo Visual Arts Center, Rosalux, ArtReach St Croix Arts Center, and Red Wing Depot Gallery to name a few.
“I am always, always looking to find and capture snippets of visual intrigue in the everyday places of everyday life. Although the combined objects in the photographs I take can usually be identifiable (like buildings, trees or parking lots), she considers each composition on the whole to be an abstract image defined by shape, line and rhythm. I often look for recurring elements which, with luck, are accompanied by complementary aspects that create a compelling visual dialogue. My work tends to convey a sense of formality, order and balance and often contains elements of both nature and fabricated structures. My compulsion to discover new visual stories is never ending and hopefully ever-evolving.”
